FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
BEFORE YOUR FIRST CLASS
-
Expect a welcoming, supportive environment focused on form and intentional movement. Your instructor will guide you through each exercise, offer hands-on cues, and help you feel confident on the machine. Foundations classes move at a slower pace but are still challenging — you’ll likely sweat, shake, and feel muscles you didn’t know you had.
-
We recommend arriving 10–15 minutes early for your first class. This gives you time to check in, your instructor to introduce you to the Megaformer the method, talk injuries and ask any questions before class begins.
-
Not at all. Our instructors will walk you through everything step by step. Just show up ready to learn and move — we’ve got the rest covered.
CLASSES & WORKOUTS
-
Very. Our Foundations classes are designed specifically to welcome first-timers, focusing on form, alignment, and confidence — without pressure or intimidation.
-
We focus on form over momentum. Every class emphasizes alignment, intentional movement, and engaging the correct muscles so you build strong, lean muscle safely and effectively. Our goal is for you to feel empowered, successful, and energized every time you leave the studio.
-
Absolutely! Combining Lagree and Pilates gives you a well-rounded fitness routine. Lagree delivers high-intensity, low-impact strength and endurance training, while Pilates focuses on core strength, flexibility, and precise movement. Together, they improve muscle tone, posture, and overall fitness — whether you’re recovering, maintaining, or pushing yourself.
-
Not quite. Pilates emphasizes controlled, precise movements on the Reformer or mat, focusing on core strength, flexibility, and alignment. Lagree, performed on the Megaformer, is a high-intensity, low-impact workout that targets multiple muscle groups at once, building muscular endurance and cardiovascular strength.
-
We don’t offer Pilates classes at this time, but we do offer private Pilates training sessions for one or two people.
-
Foundations (Lagree): Perfect for beginners, those returning from injury, or anyone new to fitness. Focuses on foundational movements, proper form, alignment, and slow engagement of the correct muscles. Foundations are always challenging while keeping movement safe. First-time guests are limited to booking Foundations.
All Levels (Lagree): For those ready to level up. A modifiable, challenging Lagree workout that builds on the basics with more variety and intensity. Beginners are encouraged to start with Foundations.
Private & Duet Sessions (Lagree + Pilates): Our private and duet sessions offer a fully personalized experience tailored to your goals, fitness level, and any injuries or movement considerations. Whether you’re refining technique, recovering, or looking for a more customized challenge, these one-on-one or shared sessions allow for focused attention, precise cueing, and thoughtful progression — all in a supportive, form-first environment.
-
Our Lagree classes are small, with a maximum of 10 participants, so instructors can focus on your form.
-
Our schedule is available here. We also plan to regularly survey our members to ensure that the schedule best meets their needs. Holiday hours may vary.
-
For new Lagree clients, we recommend spacing your first two classes at least 2 days apart to allow muscles to recover. Once you’re comfortable, 2–3 classes per week is ideal, though you can always take more if you’d like!
-
That’s completely okay. Every exercise has options and modifications. Let your instructor know and don’t be afraid to ask for help — we’re here to support you and make sure you’re moving safely and effectively.
-
Yes — form is our priority. Instructors may offer verbal and hands-on corrections to help you engage the right muscles and move safely. If you’re ever uncomfortable with hands-on adjustments, please let us know and we’re happy to accommodate.
-
Our music is upbeat and energizing, but kept at a moderate volume. Instructors wear microphones so you can clearly hear cues. If at any point the volume feels distracting, just let us know and we can make adjustments.
